Aerotag Installation

• Surface Temperature: Ensure surface is between -10°C and 50°C during installation
• Cleaning: Degrease with isopropyl alcohol (70%+), let dry completely
• Roughness: For surfaces > Ra 6.3μm, use primer coat (P-200 recommended)
• Cure Time: Allow 24 hours before exposure to moisture or chemicals
• PPE Required: Nitrile gloves, safety glasses for chemical prep

Aeroplate Mounting

• Structural Load: Verify mounting surface can support 2.5kg/m²
• Drilling: Use carbide bits for concrete, HSS for metal
• Fasteners: Stainless steel only in marine/chemical environments
• Torque Specs: 15-20 Nm for M6 bolts, do not overtighten
• Grounding: Connect earth wire for installations > 2m height

Never install on surfaces above 200°C or in explosive atmospheres without ATEX-certified variants.

• Concrete/Brick: Increase size by 30-50% from smooth surface baseline
• Corrugated Metal: Orient codes perpendicular to ridges, add 40% size

• Mesh/Grating: Solid backing required, treat as rough surface

• Contrast Ratio: Maintain > 70% between code and background
• Quiet Zone: Keep 4x module width clear border around QR
• Viewing Angle: Optimal 0-45°, degraded > 60°
• Moisture: Use hydrophobic coating in wet environments
• Vibration: Rigid mounting required if > 2g acceleration
